Rob Westall and the team travelled to the Isle of Wight to play Lionheart Festival 2024.
The band played a mix of original songs from Rob's first two albums as well as two new original tunes at the Royal County Showground in Newport.
The Island is a special place for Rob having played the event in 2022 and toured there last year, but this one was undoubtedly the best ever.
In advance of the event, Christ for All Nations and other ministries were on the Island, training and equipping local churches in sharing the Gospel.
In just a few days more than 150 people decided to follow Jesus.
Nine people respond to Rob’s Gospel invitation
One man saw a family member he had been praying for, for over 35 years, turn up at the festival and decide he needed Jesus.
He told Rob he had given up hope of ever seeing this happen.
Rob shared the Gospel during his Saturday night set and saw 9 people respond to the invitation to follow Christ.
He had the privilege of being able to pray with three of the people who responded.
“I have been coming to the island for a few years now and it has a special place in my heart and my prayers,” said Rob.
“To see some fruit from the seed we’ve sown and the things we’ve been praying and hoping for this weekend has been incredibly moving,
“It will take a long time to unpack everything that’s happened both spiritually and physically speaking.”
Lou and Nathan Fellingham, Tom Smith (Soul Survivor) were among the other worship leaders serving at the event across the weekend.
Before Rob and the band then closed out the festival on Sunday, before travelling back to Wales.
