Rob Westall and his band kicked off the first of the free concerts they are doing in partnership with Operation Christmas Child in Tonbridge last night.
The event was the first in a series of three concerts Rob and the band will be playing at to launch the Christian charity’s famous shoebox campaign.
The Christian singer-songwriter performed songs from both his albums, including his latest release 1,000 Voice, before finishing the evening with the Christmas single ‘Saviour of the World.’
The crowd learned about the work Operation Christmas Child does, including a moving live interview with a Ukrainian woman who told of the joy receiving a shoebox had brought her as a little girl.
Rob Westall shared the Gospel message and invited people to know Jesus and 11 people responded.
The next two concerts take place in:
Oldbury, West Midlands on Friday 21st October
Rotherham, South Yorkshire on Friday 28th October
Rob and guest vocalists from West End musicals will share inspirational songs and stories for what promises to be an event you don’t want to miss.
There will also amazing stories of children discovering new life and hope in Jesus through shoeboxes, including the impact they’ve had on Ukrainian refugee children and other updates about Operation Christmas Child.
Information about how to get involved, including how to pack shoebox gifts and how to lead your group, friends and family to pack shoeboxes together, will also be given, alongside the latest resources.
